Temporary Road Closures & Restrictions

The Llanelli Half Marathon and 10K is to be held on Sunday 16th February 2025 and will require temporary road closures and traffic restrictions to accommodate the event.

THE COUNTY OF CARMARTHENSHRIE

(SPECIAL EVENTS) (LLANELLI FRONT RUNNER HALF MARATHON AND 10K RUN EVENT)

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council Half Marathon and 10k run (‘the Event’). The effect of the Order will be:

  1. to prohibit any person from causing or permitting any vehicle to proceed along the length of the Class II Road B4304 Coastal Link Road, Llanelli extending from its junction with the Principal Road A484 Sandy Roundabout and continuing to Seaside Roundabout, Lliedi Roundabout, Copperworks Roundabout, Pentre Nicklaus Roundabout, Machynys Roundabout, Morfa Roundabout, Penclacwydd Roundabout and to Berwick Roundabout between the hours of 08:00 am and 10:40 am on Sunday 16th February 2025.

The westbound lane of the length of the B4304 between Copperworks Roundabout, Delta Lakes roundabout and Machynys roundabout will remain open to permit access only to adjoining premises during the Event.

  • to introduce a 20 m.p.h. speed limit along that length of the Class II Road B4304 between Copperworks Roundabout, Delta Lakes roundabout and Machynys roundabout.
  • to suspend the provisions of The County of Carmarthenshire (IMPOSITION OF 40 M.P.H SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 1997 (CLASS II B4304 COASTAL LINK ROAD, LLANELLI), only in so far as the length of road specified in in section B, during the duration of the Event

The Order will also contain exemptions for any motor vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes or for statutory undertakers attending an emergency or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.  

The Order comes into effect on Sunday 16th February 2025 and will continue in force between 8:00 a.m. and 10.40 a.m.

HYSBYSIR trwy hyn fod Cyngor Sir Caerfyrddin yn bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn a fydd yn hwyluso cynnal Hanner Marathon a Ras 10k Front Runner Llanelli (‘y Digwyddiad’). Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd:

  1. gwahardd unrhyw berson rhag peri neu ganiatáu i unrhyw gerbyd fynd ar hyd y darn o Ffordd Dosbarth II y B4304 Ffordd Gyswllt yr Arfordir, Llanelli sy’n ymestyn o’r gyffordd â Phrif Ffordd yr A484 Cylchfan y Sandy ac yn parhau at Gylchfan Seaside, Cylchfan Lliedi, Cylchfan Copperworks, Cylchfan Pentre Nicklaus, Cylchfan Machynys, Cylchfan y Morfa, Cylchfan Penclacwydd a Chylchfan Berwig rhwng 08:00am a 10:40am ddydd Sul 16 Chwefror 2025.

Bydd lôn y darn o’r B4304 sy’n mynd tua’r gorllewin rhwng Cylchfan Copperworks, Cylchfan Llynnoedd Delta a Chylchfan Machynys yn parhau ar agor i ganiatáu mynediad yn unig i safleoedd cyfagos yn ystod y Digwyddiad.

  • cyflwyno terfyn cyflymder o 20mya ar hyd y darn hwnnw o Ffordd Dosbarth II y B4304 rhwng Cylchfan Copperworks, Cylchfan Llynnoedd Delta a Chylchfan Machynys.
  • atal darpariaethau Gorchymyn Sir Gaerfyrddin (GOSOD TERFYN CYFLYMDER 40MYA) 1997 (FFORDD DOSBARTH II Y B4304 FFORDD GYSWLLT YR ARFORDIR, LLANELLI), dim ond i’r graddau y mae’n berthnasol i’r darn ffordd a nodir yn adran B, yn ystod y Digwyddiad.

Bydd y Gorchymyn hefyd yn cynnwys eithriadau ar gyfer unrhyw gerbyd modur sy’n cael ei ddefnyddio at ddibenion yr heddlu, brigâd dân neu ambiwlans neu ar gyfer ymgymerwyr statudol sy’n mynychu argyfwng neu unrhyw beth a wneir yn unol â chyfarwyddyd cwnstabl heddlu yn ei lifrai.  

Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ddydd Sul 16 Chwefror 2025 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym rhwng 8:00am a 10.40am.
